Photography: The Belt of Venus

When the sun goes down on a clear night, you might be able to spot a pink and purple band above the horizon opposite the sunset. This beautiful atmospheric phenomenon is known as The Belt of Venus, which I captured about 20.45 -21.00 on Sunday.

Simultaneous Chess: Mr Puchades v. Five Pupils

On the Tuesday on the last week of the Summer term I played the 5 best PGS chess players in a simultaneous match organised by Luke Ronaldson. All of the games were hard fought but, in the end, experience triumphed over youth and I won 5-0.

Sixth Form Centre: Demolition Day

The last views from inside the Sixth Form Centre. At 11 am yesterday, a DX225LC DOOSAN Crawler Excavator, weighing about 21 metric tons, arrived on a low loader and began demolition work (see below). More photographs here.
